Welcome to Aksaray University Food Processing Department.The aim of the Food Technology program is to train personnel who will work in the production, packaging and storage of foodstuffs in accordance with health conditions and food codex, and in the interpretation of the results of sensory, physical, chemical and microbiological quality control analyzes on foods. Those who graduate from this department work as food technicians as assistants to food engineers. Required Qualifications: Students who want to work in the field of Food Technology are expected to be successful in biology and chemistry. Those who want to have this profession should be careful, responsible and able to adapt to teamwork. Titles Earned by Graduates: Students who complete this program receive the title of Food Technician. A technician trained in Food Technology ensures that all kinds of plant and animal foods are produced and stored hygienically without losing their nutritional value. Working Areas: They work in the production and laboratory departments of food producing factories in the public and private sectors. They work with Food Technicians, Food Engineers, Chemical Engineers, Biologists, Veterinarians and Dietitians. Departments where they can transfer vertically with DGS: 1. Food Engineering, 2. Chemistry, Nutrition and Dietetics, 3. Plant Protection, 4. Agricultural Biotechnology.
